Royal Albatros Moderna For The Best Snorkelling

July 21st, 2010 . by admin

I chose to stay at the Royal Albatros Moderna for a holiday in Sharm el Sheikh, because it has a new jetty that stretches out into the Red Sea, offering the easiest access for snorkeling and divers in the area. The new jetty, which extends up to 560 meters into the sea, helps you to get across the sharp, protected coral that lies close to the shoreline. When snorkeling on a clear day, you can see for a distance of about 20 meters, which means you get to experience an under water world full of vibrant, beautiful and strange looking fish and sea life.

A Very Memorable Wedding

July 15th, 2010 . by admin

Our son got married last year, and at first, my husband and I were quite surprised that my son and his fiancé wanted to plan a destination wedding to Russia. I had always dreamed of all of my children getting married on the beach at our vacation home in Cape Cod, so it took a while to convince me that Russia was a smart location. My doubts disappeared the minute I got online and started scouting for locations for the event. . Even the Russia hotels we chose were amazing. Now that it’s over, I want to back to back and tour more of the country.

Plenty of planning but a late booking was nearly costly

July 14th, 2010 . by admin

The first thing we did before heading away was arrange our tongariro crossing accommodation so that we didn’t miss out on having a bed for the night. Even though we had been planning the trip for a long time, we hadn’t actually made any bookings and in some ways we were quite fortunate to even get a place because when I called the lady told me that we got the last room for the weekend. We would have been gutted if we had missed out because it was the place we really wanted to stay and it would have been even worse if we had to put off doing the crossing which we have waited months to do.

Utilizing My Dad’s Spacious Tent

July 14th, 2010 . by admin

My close friends as well as I made a decision to try out an impulsive camping journey. It will be our first time and we’re entirely so naïve on what to bring. First thing is often a tent. I thought of the 4 person tent my Dad utilize in his backpacking expedition. I asked afterward got permission to bring the 4 person tent. Clothing was the least of our worry. It’s the gear we’re nervous about. Then again, certain acquaintances of ours, who joined their camping’s earlier than us, took turns helping us find our gears correct as well as organized. And soon we were on our way. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that our 4 person tent can certainly accommodate four fit youngster, that is us. We got the whole legroom we have to snooze as well as rest. We really got to like our first camping event.

Making the time for a spot of fishing

July 13th, 2010 . by admin

I have always wanted to spend a few days or a week in new zealand trout fishing but for one reason or another I have never quite been able to do that. I have been to NZ a few times but have never found the time to get out and do some fishing. This time when I head over there I will definitely be getting out to do that, in fact I have already put aside some time to do that and even though it is only two days, it’s better than none. I was just meant to be going to Auckland but I changed my plans a bit so that I can get to Lake Taupo which is renowned for the trout, so hopefully the fish are biting the days I am there.

The Optimism of the People is Reflected in their Arts and Crafts

July 12th, 2010 . by admin

We were pleased to find that, in the hotels Gray Line booked for us, all the staff spoke at least some English, with many being able to make themselves understood extremely well. Get out into some of the more remote locations, however, and English is practically non-existent. We managed quite well, though, with our limited Spanish and our trusty Spanish phrase book. Thanks to some of the cultural tours Gray Line organized for us we ended up dining on beans and corn tortillas as well as diving down side streets to look at the local arts and crafts. We loved every minute of our two-week break and fully intend to spend other Costa Rica vacations doing the same things all over again. We have loved our time here.
