Brief History of Torsion Clock
September 2nd, 2010 . by adminThe torsion clock as well as the torsion pendulum clock are other terminologies of the anniversary clock. The basic principle (on how it is working) is all about the torsion pendulum.
These clocks are basically spring-wound, ornamental and fine timepieces. This clocks’ mechanism is showing under a clear dome or a glass case that permits individuals to watch the torsion pendulum process.
They are so-called anniversary clocks since a lot of them need to be wound a minimum of once a year or annually. The mechanism of torsion pendulum was produced during the late 1790′s by Robert Leslie. This was not until the 1841 that the principle was used for anniversary clocks.
