The Optimism of the People is Reflected in their Arts and Crafts
July 12th, 2010 . by adminWe were pleased to find that, in the hotels Gray Line booked for us, all the staff spoke at least some English, with many being able to make themselves understood extremely well. Get out into some of the more remote locations, however, and English is practically non-existent. We managed quite well, though, with our limited Spanish and our trusty Spanish phrase book. Thanks to some of the cultural tours Gray Line organized for us we ended up dining on beans and corn tortillas as well as diving down side streets to look at the local arts and crafts. We loved every minute of our two-week break and fully intend to spend other Costa Rica vacations doing the same things all over again. We have loved our time here.
